Finding something

A character notices or finds an object, a message, a clue.

Start your film to use it

Discovery is a three-shot rhythm: the face, the thing, the face again. The order can flip. A move from the face to the object (a tilt, a pan, or a pull out) can replace the cut and feel more like the character’s own attention.

Watch out. Shoot the object insert with the same light as the wide, or it looks pasted in.
