Start from a framework
Under the beats, pick one of eight story frameworks and add its stages as beats. Each beat says what that stage must do. Rename, reorder and delete freely.

Line counts
Every character card counts that character's lines. Open a character to see each scene they speak in and where else they are mentioned.
The character template
One click adds a set of questions to a character's notes. It blends Lajos Egri's three dimensions (The Art of Dramatic Writing), the want and need arc, the Proust Questionnaire, and Uta Hagen's nine questions (Respect for Acting).
